ACEM’s Manaaki Mana rōpū warmly welcome Te ORA members to attend our virtual hui on Friday 1st October. Our rōpū are working to implement ACEM’s strategy to provide excellence in emergency care for Māori, which includes a commitment to providing culturally safe work places for Māori trainees and fellows.
Free registration if you register as a Māori health worker.
We will discuss our proposed Pae Ora standards for Māori in emergency care, how ACEM and ED staff honour te Tiriti and hear about the challenges and opportunities of the coming health sector reforms. In addition, we will be hearing from experts in cultural safety, ED equity research and anti-racism and will conclude with thoughts on the provision of manaakitanga in the ED, caring for Māori patients and whānau at the end of life and the role of rongoā Māori.
