Māori medical professionals say not enough is being done by the government to protect Māori, Pacific people and impoverished communities from coronavirus.
“The inequality will be big once the coronavirus gets past the containment phase,” Dr David Tipene-Leach, chairman of the national Te Ora organisation said.
“Poverty means you have less resources to be able to try and contain it,” said Tipene-Leach “So the resourcing to stop the infection is going to be low. It’s going to fly through the decile nine and ten communities.” For more information please click here
