The Pursuit of Hauora: The Value of Māori Lives

Toi Mata Hauora ASMS and Te ORA are jointly promoting a session at Te Tiriti Based Futures 2026.
The Pursuit of Hauora: The Value of Māori Lives
Wednesday 25 March 2026 | 9.00am–10.00am | Online | Free
Speakers: Lady Tureiti Moxon, Dr Rawiri Jansen, Professor Peter Crampton
Chair: Jacquie Kidd
This panel brings clinical, academic and community leadership to a discussion on the value of Māori lives within Aotearoa’s health system, confronting inequity and advancing kaupapa Māori approaches. The kōrero will focus on the pursuit of hauora as a collective responsibility — centering Māori aspirations, embedding tino rangatiratanga, and ensuring that Māori lives are not only valued but thrive.
Join with colleagues for a watch party, share kai, spark discussion and meet some CPD requirements.
The wider conference (21–26 March 2026) includes sessions on pay equity, Pākehā privilege, climate and racial justice, and decolonisation across multiple sectors. You can register once and attend any sessions of interest.
